Day five of our odyssey…

We went to our favorite place for breakfast and found out that they are only open for dinner during the week. We found a place called Udupi Palace the food was very good, almost as good as Tacoma’s Gateway to India.

Then we stopped at the coolest bicycle maker Rivendell Bicycle Works, and spending a bunch of not so disposable income, Steve took some pictures for me while I was otherwise occupied View Album. I bought one of these lovely machines a while back from my now favorite bike shop Aaron’s Bicycle Repair in West Seattle.

We were cruising around looking for Mt. Diablo and could not find it, figures.

So we shot back to Berkeley, since we knew it was cool and easy to find. Walked around town and the University a bit and shot some electronic film.

Day four of our odyssey…

Yet another day of driving…

Where where, I want one…

Mini Drive, cool… I wish I was driving a Mini, but my Toyota Echo is pretty cool when I speed past the fuel pumps.

Andretti Winery, yes apparently related to Mario. Whoo Hoo!

Andretti Winery courtyard.

Andretti Winery courtyard again.

A cool light at the Andretti Winery courtyard.

Andretti Winery again.

We did the Vinyards of the Napa Valley. There was the Andretti Winery, apparently owned by Mario Andretti.

A wine storage cave, I forgot which winery. Bad Mikey…

My giant car at the winery with the name I forgot.

A garden at the winery with the name I forgot.

The we hit a few more that I can’t remember the name of, sorry.

We did hit the Mum Napa Winery.? Very cool, I did not get any pictures but this one has it together.? I spent like crazy here.? These guys have a classy site too.

Baldacci Family Vinyards, and a cool windmill.

Now that looks relaxing.

A storage cave at the Baldacci Vinyards.

Baldacci Family Vinyard and neighbors. In wide mode cool.

Baldacci Family Vinyards facility.

Then we found the Baldacci Family Vineyards, and a cool windmill and nice view.

Chateau Boswell.

Chateau Boswell building and the lions.

Chateau Boswell a cool cart.

Chateau Boswell again the house.

Again at Chateau Boswell.

Chateau Boswell I love that tower.

Chateau Boswell was one we stopped at very quick, it was getting late.

Third day of our vacation…

Another full day of driving…
We stopped at Fellini Restaurant an awesome place with a good selection for my sweetie.

Then we bounced out to the Winchester Mystery House which is a cool tourist trap based on the Mansion of a woman that might have been a little off.

Second day of our vacation…

We ran into Applegate Trail Interpretive Center along the Applegate trail, the southern route of the Oregon Trail, at Grave Creek named apparently because it is the grave site for a young pioneer. There we met Doodie the dog and some old wagon wheels.

Then we got a fairly cool picture of Mt. Shasta, I think, as we were speeding down the freeway in a horrible crosswind.

Then we found and made reservations to stay later at the Railroad Park Resort, very cool you stay in old railroad cars, updated with all the amenities, and can even eat in one.

My new Samsung Digimax L85 camera seems to be working pretty darn good, thanks to some help from Todd at Robi’s Camera in Lakewood WA. thanks Todd!

Whoo we are on our way…

This vacation is really happening. It didn’t go as planned, instead of Wallace, Idaho we are headed to the Napa Valley, California and the wine country.
When Wallace fell through, the The Route of the Hiawatha is closed until 6/17/2006 shortly after our vacation ends. The we decided on Vancouver, Canada. Our fearless leader, aka the Villiage idiot, changed the rules to travel to Canada on us last October.
