Here are the babies. We have Beta on the left and Alpha on the right. I just can’t figure out if they want to help pack or go along for the trip.
As I write this we are in Berkeley, CA. after an uneventful plane ride and shuttle ride.

We saw this rather interesting roadside attraction Marsh’s Free Museum and gift shop home of Jake the alligator man.

Sorry guys, best I could do. Here is Jake the Alligator Man LIVE… Or rather dead. You know what I mean. Sorry about the flash flare, could not be helped. After 7 tries this one was the best.

Then we happened on the World Kite Museum. Some other sites in Longbeach and on the beach.

Now we are at the World Kite Museum and this is a Barrage Kite, it protects U.S. Convoys and British Destroyers. How cool is that for a bit of kite…

This is a target kite. This kite has a rudder and can be steered. Saw a video of this in action it was pretty cool. The bundle on the floor actually hooked on to a guy with a harness and he flew the thing around about 250 yards out. At that distance the target simulated the size of a real plane.

Then on to the North Head Lighthouse followed up by a marvelous sunset on the beach.

Finally a great dinner at the Shoalwater of A Cranberry and Walnut Salad and a marvelous Vegetarian French Onion soup followed by an order of Bread Pudding for me that was to die for. Then we had a little entertainment reading this letter in response the Washington Department of Agriculture about the rearing and consumption of snails, hilarity ensued.
We made it to Long Beach Washington last night to find out we not only did not have Wi-Fi access from our room, we knew that going in, but not in a useable fashion from my Verizon card either. Thanks to Long Beach Coffee Roasters for coming to the rescue with their free Wi-Fi.
Here are some shots from the trip down, most taken at the Northwest Carriage History Museum in Raymond WA., a very cool place as you should be able to tell.

The Hansom Cab is the predecessor to our modern taxi cabs. It was patented in 1834 and named after its inventor, Joseph Hansom.

Here is a new way to welcome in the New Year, I’ll have to practice this on the Andre’ version. Maybe if I get good enough I can try with the good stuff for 2008.
How to Pop a Cork With a Sword
See you all next year.
I have posted pictures spanning 10/8 – 12/21 of the kitties as they have grown. Here are some highlights…

These were taken after rescuing the kitties from the ceiling over the garage after their grand escape. Though the term rescue was open to debate by the subjects of the rescue.
The kitties favorite perch. We would have to stand on the toilet lid to reach them, and they liked that. They are very comfortable with visitors only when they are on this perch, go figure.
The kitties favorite hiding place? Not very hidden from where I am standing.
Back on their favorite perch and a little bigger now.
Won’t be long before they don’t fit on the sill anymore.

Kitties playing and just hanging out.
Kitties just hanging out and being silly.
Kitties being silly and hanging out together.

Kitties were especially cute today.
