Well today was a light day. A bright sun shine filled day. We had a late start and headed out for coffee from Guerilla Cafe in Berkeley.
We then hopped on the AC Transit #9, that takes you out to the Berkeley Marina and a rather long pier. I had a dog at the Eat and Run down at the start of the pier.
- Cool a big sun dial and a cool sculpture in the background. Hopefully the pic Steve took of the sculpture turns out better.
- These are animal proof garbage recepticals. I had to throw my dog wrapper away, they were almost Mikey proof too. I analyzed the situation and figured out there is a latch in the handle near the top.
- A closer view of the leaner, and the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance. I hope HLS does’t think this picture could help the bad guys, I did take a picture of a bridge.
- That is where we came from. Quite a hike out here. Just think if it kept going that next bit we just saw WOW.
Hopping back on the #9 and jumping off for lunch at the Lane Splitter Pub & Pizza also in Berkeley. We had a marvelous Vegan Pizza with a vegan ricotta cheese that they make themselves and some good brews.
I found out looking at the site that some of the buses that AC Transit uses are Hydrogen, three of them at this writing. Also I mentioned the ZAP Zebra, ZAP is the original importer and Americanizer of the SMART Car, from Daimler Chrysler. ZAP distributes a number of high efficiency and zero emission vehicles. And back home I-5 Motors in Fife handle the ZAP cars last I checked. Check them out.
