We started out kind of late. We took a short trip for cash and some coffee at Berkely Espresso. This morning we saw a Jedi Master mailbox and I finally got a shot of one of these red squirrels I have been seeing here.
- The new Jedi Master mailbox. Very cool, I want one.
- Aww a cute little red squirrel.
Also saw a GOcar down on the Embarcadaro along the waterfront.
- That looks pretty cool. Lets get a closer look.
- They saw me and are posing cool. A GOcar. www.gocarsf.com we should try this sometime.
We rode a trolley to get to the based of Telegraph hill.
- I wish we had these in Tacoma, oh wait we have one and it only runs until 8pm downtown. These are much more useful and cover loads more ground.
- Trolleys I just love these things.
- A bunch of track dedicated to the trolleys. Doing things the right way.
We climbed the Filbert Steps looking for the Wild Parrots of Telegraph hill they dogged us.
- Getting closer to the Filbert steps.
- After a short time climbing the Filbert steps. We still have a ways to go.
- Look more stairs to climb. Whoo Hoo. Still no wild parrots.
- The final climb to the top.
Then we went knocking around SF including the red light district (link NSFW).
- A cool fixed gear bicycle and what is that?
- Cool. ?The Stinking Rose a Garlic Restaurant? and on the sign above ?We Season Our Garlic With Food.?
- Garden of Eden. Take a bite of forbidden fruit. Looks like the red light district.
- More evidence of the part of town we are at. I looked into the ?Hustler Club? but they have a strict dress code. No entry for us.

We are on our way to Telegraph hill and hoping to see the wild paragraphs… I mean Parrots.
Nice park here at Levi’s plaza.
And a very cool water feature.
There is Telegraph hill and the Coit tower on top.
Another cool water feature.
Getting closer to the Filbert steps.
Hmmm. An interesting warning. ?Caution Pedestrians Slippery When Wet? isn’t everyone to some degree?
After a short time climbing the Filbert steps. We still have a ways to go.
Look at that view of the bridge. I think that is the bay bridge.
On the steps they have streets, no cars on these streets. They would have to negotiate wooden steps to get here.
And this is the street. It’s private.
Look more stairs to climb. Whoo Hoo. Still no wild parrots.
Gee how much does a place on the Filbert steps go for? After all for Sotheby’s to be involved it would have to be pretty pricey.
Another street up ahead. Don’t have to worry about cross traffic here.
This is along a street we cross part of the way up. ?No Dogs, Teacup poodles ok.? I think Alpha and Beta would disagree with this, to them no dog is ok.
Looking out over the bay. Almost to the top.
There are the rest of the stairs.
Man another one for sale. There were actually a bunch of places for sale along here.
Here is the place for sale, looks like fun.
The final climb to the top.
This last bit must have been the Greenwich stairs. And here we are at the top…
From the base of the Coit tower. Looking out at Alcatraz in the water.
Looking up at the Coit tower.
Coit Tower, this 210 foot monument was built in 1933…
A better look at Alcatraz.
Going back on down the other side. We heard the wild parrots, but did not see them a once. Dang!
There is SF.
More SF. Look at that great biking hill.
And this great biking hill too.
Look at this less than desirable sidewalk. More like a side stumble.
It is quite a roller coaster trying to navigate these sidewalks.
That is where we came from.
A friendly puppy on the walk.
A cool fixed gear bicycle and what is that?
Wow that is a cool SUB. Sport utility bicycle. Different then the ones I am familiar with.
Ah from Human Power Machines in Eugene Oregon (503) 343-5568 just in case you want one even more than I do.
Too bad the owner was not around I would have loved to get a good picture of this one.
Down this alley on right poorly maintained, on left well maintained. Very interesting.
A cool little garden space.
Citizen Thai & The Monkey. That is strange.
Live Worms Gallery interesting name.
Another fixed gear bike. There are dozens I have not snapped a pic of too.
Cool. ?The Stinking Rose a Garlic Restaurant? and on the sign above ?We Season Our Garlic With Food.?
Garden of Eden. Take a bite of forbidden fruit. Looks like the red light district.
From the entrance of the Garden of Eden.
More evidence of the part of town we are at. I looked into the ?Hustler Club? but they have a strict dress code. No entry for us.
And even more… Well off to hopefully find food, we have been striking out on that today.
