This looked kinda cool.
More of the Rail Road Park Resort/Motel/Lodge.
Hmm, that could be why the road is closed. That is the downhill side where it’s been washing across.
We struck out on a short hike to check out the Castle Crags, we tried to view them from Crag View drive yesterday but went from one end to the other with nary a crag to be seen. Maybe someone in town is named Crag.
After finally getting coffee, internet access, and posting yesterdays stuff, we hit the road again.
Drove into Yreka and looked around got lunch. Need to go back and do the train rides there next time. We ended up in Grant’s Pass, Or.

The park at the park.
This looked kinda cool.
More of the ?Rooms?.
How do they keep these from moving… O.M.G. I think I’ll stay in the car.
The top of that sad relic. Bummer man.
A river runs by it. It’s cool to walk along.
The Crags from our Motel parking lot.
There is my tiny car. The ?Room? that you can’t see from this angle is ours.
Across the sad relic at the ?Rooms? for the Motel, some of them anyhow.
That looks pretty old. Except the tap in the front was extended with PCV pipe. We’ll just ignore that.
A pretty sad sight this poor little relic. I guess they couldn’t make a Motel room out of this one.

We started a walking up the mountain. Looks like the trail is called the ?I Line?. The road was closed to cars due to a soft roadbed.
And remember only you can prevent forest fires. That mean YOU!
A flower, just checking out the Macro function on my camera.
Ah! The crags in the distance cool.
Someone made a bench, a little low to get back up from though.
Oh that is what the bench is for.
Oh, it’s just a cable.
A creek along the way.
This is a pretty nice road actually. I wonder why it’s really closed.
Yet another view of the crags, must be getting boring by now.
Hmm, that could be why the road is closed. That is the downhill side where it’s been washing across.
This is above in that same spot. This is looking up, and those are about ready to come down, I am outta here.
That just looks cool, lower part of the crags in the distance.
These rocks came down already. Now those would work under the wheels of those rail cars they use for ?Rooms? at the Motel.
Yet another view of the crags, sorry.
How about a little ice and snow. That also looked cool.
I had to climb up the hillside to get this one. I could not believe that I got it, I was shaking quite a bit when I snapped this. Two ice caves made by runoff on the crags.
More rocks fixing to come down.
A view with only a little crag.
A flower.
Some more flowers.
Coming back to the RR Park Motel/Resort/Lodge/…

This wild beast was caught along I-5 heading out of California.
In front of the Yreka firestation.
My car in front of the Pizza place we ate at for Lunch. Apparently it was the ?Yrela Gallery? in the past. Now Brickhouse Bakery & Pizzeria.
And I am sure that grammer was not the reason for the closing.
Lower part of the IOOF building, where Tourist Information is obviously available. Cool coal cart / planter in front.
The hanging sign says ?THINGS FOR YOUR HEAD?, I guess they mean ?HATS?.
Close up of the coal cart in front of the IOOF building.
IOOF Bulding information.
The side of the ?HATS? place, which is attached to the IOOF building. That door is about 10+ feet in the air.
First thing you see entering YREKA. An old gold mining town apparently.
A few of the buildings. The back one is a True Value hardware store with a cool looking sign.
Saw this after getting gas, I don’t remember where. This was back on what appeared to be a driveway.
Whoo Hoo. I can’t believe my little car did it with all this carp in it. Actually it did it 3 times today alone. Coming back from getting gas we got sucked onto I5 south, oops.
