I’m back

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

Well it has been a fun year so far. The Kitties just came back from the vet, after getting sick from eating a bird. I have only a couple of rides in this year so far, my new winter boots are working out swimmingly. I will post more about those later.

Should be getting my packet from the Courage Classic soon and can start collecting for the ride. This year I am going to try something different, I am actually going to do a bit of door to door work. Time to start getting serious about training. TTFN.

Patience training day and more…

Well I had a lovely ride into work this morning, I loaded up a backpack with crap and took the racer in. On my way I ran afoul of the illustrious work of the Tacoma road maintenance crew, and got a pinch flat. There was so much gravel on outer edge of the road on Tyler. I don’t mean little pebbles, I am talking Bam Bam and Dino, sized rocks. Okay, it just seemed like it, between the rough edged holes and rocks on the road it was like biking a mine field. So I changed the tube and took out my trusty Planet Bike Red Zeppelin CO2 inflator. When I started to use it, for the first time, the head separated from the body and it started spraying CO2 everywhere. That sucks.

Then I had some help while posting, here are the photos. I could not get a picture of the actual helping.

Here are the babies. We have Beta on the left and Alpha on the right. I just can’t figure out if they want to help pack or go along for the trip.

As I write this we are in Berkeley, CA. after an uneventful plane ride and shuttle ride.

I found CatCam when I was surfing looking for a new header for my site, I found it looking for “Athena Cycles”.

This is so cool I gotta get me one of these Bike Thongs for when I am training indoors I guess you could use this outside, but why would you? It might even be dangerous on the road. BTW the link images are very “safe for work”.
